Bobby Bowden is one of the NCAA?s all-time winningest head coaches and is most remembered for his time at Florida State University where he led the Seminoles to National Championship titles in 1993 and 1999. Bowden is a beloved figure at FSU and in college football entirely. After starting his coaching career at West Virginia University, Bobby Bowden took over as head coach of Florida State in 1976 after the Seminoles had finished 4-29 over the three previous seasons. It took Bobby just one year to turn things around.

After a 5-6 finish in his first year in Tallahassee, Bobby Bowden would never have another losing season as the Seminoles leader. During an incredible stretch from 1987-2000 Bowden led FSU to the school?s first two National Championship titles. Florida State won at least 10 games in each of those seasons and finished each year in the Top 5 of the Associated Press college football poll.

Bobby Bowden remains a staple in Florida State athletics and still resides in Tallahassee. He signed a contract in 2013 with Seminole Boosters to help raise money for FSU athletics through his marketability and promotions. Bobby Bowden is one of the select few NCAA football coaches to have such success as a head coach and even after retirement remain a prominent and marketable figure among their fan base.
