Joe Burrow was the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner as well as the #1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. During his time at LSU, Joe Burrow led the LSU Tigers to a perfect season, 15-0, including the CFP National Championship. Prior to playing for the LSU Tigers, Joe Burrow began his college career at Ohio State University, playing for the OSU Buckeyes in his home state where he will return to playing for the Cincinnati Bengals.

In 2019, his second and final season with the LSU Tigers, Joe Burrow passed for over 5,600 yards with 60 touchdowns, the most touchdowns in a single season in NCAA FBS history. The last time the LSU Tigers saw a player like Joe Burrow was Billy Cannon who won the 1959 Heisman Trophy.

Burrow comes from a lineage of athletes and coaches including his father Jim Burrow, who coached at the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers as well as in the NFL and CFL. His uncle, John Burrow, played for the Ole Miss Rebels and both of his brothers played football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Joe Burrow attended Athens High School in The Plains, Ohio where he passed for 11,416 yards with 157 passing touchdowns and rushed for 2,067 yards with 27 rushing touchdowns. Joe Burrow would go on to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes as a back-up quarterback to J.T. Barrett. After graduating in three years from Ohio State University, with a degree in consumer and family financial services, he transferred to play for the LSU Tigers in 2018.

During is first year at LSU he helped lead the LSU Tigers to a 10-3 record, including a win over the UCF Knights in the 2019 Fiesta Bowl and a #6 ranking in the final NCAA AP poll.

Along with Coach Orgeron, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Justin Jefferson and Ja Marr Chase the 2019-2020 LSU Tigers team will go down in the school s history of being only one of four who won a NCAA National Championship.
