Mike Schmidt

Hall of Fame baseball star Mike Schmidt of the Philadelphia Phillies will be signing autographs at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, at 1160 First Ave., King of Prussia, PA, on Saturday, December 2, 2017. The autograph session runs from 1:00-2:30 p.m., and is part of the Philadelphia Sportscard and Memorabilia Show. One-day ticket is $8 and a weekend ticket is $18 If you would like to purchase authenticated Mike Schmidt signed memorabilia without attending the show, see our collection.

Here again is a bona fide baseball star whose 548 home runs with the same team (all-time record) and Hall of Fame membership make a Mike Schmidt autograph a veritable piece of sports memorabilia. In addition to his hitting prowess, his stellar defensive play earned him 10 Golden Glove Awards and 12 All-Star team appearances. Schmidt played his entire career with the Philadelphia Phillies (1972-1989) where the third baseman led the league in RBIs four times and in home runs eight times, and cemented his name consistently at the top of baseball and sports collectibles worldwide. One of the metrics used to place value on sports memorabilia is a player's consistency throughout their career, and few sports collectibles are as solid as Mike Schmidt's signature. He is the Phillies all-time leader in runs scored, RBIs, home runs, walks, and sacrifice flies, to name a few. He also was voted ?Greatest Player in Franchise History? by the public, which again speaks to the value of Mike Schmidt memorabilia. In 1980 Schmidt led the Phillies to take the World Series from the Kansas City Royals and won the World Series MVP Award, which made collectible sports items signed by Mike Schmidt even more valuable. He also won the National League MVP that year and two other years, adding more legacy to his autograph. An interesting aside is that after the Phillies won the 1980 World Series, five Phillies appeared on Family Feud against five players from the Royals in a rematch of the World Series teams! Mike Schmidt, Del Unser, Larry Bowa, Dick Ruthven and Garry Maddox played against five members of the Kansas City Royals. It was the fifth time the two teams appeared on Family Feud together, and this time the Royals got revenge for their World Series loss by beating Mike Schmidt and Co. on the TV game-show, with benefits going to charity. Take a look through our collection of certified Mike Schmidt signed collectibles such as his sterling Autographed Hall of Fame Plaque Postcard, certified by PSA/DNA. PSA/DNA encapsulated trading cards are hotter than ever.
