He spent his college days at BYU as he was drafted in the United States Football League but later started with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was then traded to the 49ers where he excelled. He was known for his running capabilities and being able to escape away from the pass rush. He was a very accurate passer and is now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
