Yoenis Cespedes

A standout outfielder in his native Cuba for a decade, Yoenis Cespedes could always be found among the island?s top hitters in every batting category. Major League Baseball scouts also regarded him as a five-tool prospect when he defected and signed with Oakland as an unrestricted free agent in 2012.

As a 26-year-old ?rookie? Cespedes hit .292 with 23 homers and 82 RBI in just 129 games. His .292 average was a team-high as the A?s won their first AL West title in six years. The stocky 5-10, 220lbs slugger finished second to Mike Trout for American League Rookie of the Year honors.

In 2014-2015, Cespedes started living up to his press clippings. He reached the 100 RBI mark in both seasons, despite being traded in midseason in both of those campaigns. The Mets traded for him during the 2015 season and his 17 home runs and 44 RBI in August and September helped power New York to its first pennant since 2000.

The player who Cuban fans dubbed, ?La Potencia, El Talento? which means ?Power, Talent? has battled injuries that have caused him to miss significant time in three of his five seasons. Nevertheless, his fielding excellence was acknowledged with is first Gold Glove Award in 2014 and he captured the Home Run Derby crown at the 2013 and 2014 All Star Games.

The well-traveled Cespedes has proven beyond a doubt that he ranks with baseball?s best, whether it?s in the Cuban, American, or National leagues. Due to his All Star play in three different pro leagues there's a variety of authentic, autographed Yoenis Cespedes baseballs, bats, and action photos that make a great addition to every serious fan's collection.
