MLB’s Best Players of Right Now

Miguel Cabrera aka “Miggy,” plays first base for the Detroit Tigers and has one of the top sports contracts in all of professional sports. This guy gets paid. And, he deserves every penny. Here is an overview of his career highlights and awards to date (through 2017). He won the American League Triple Crown in 2012. He is a four-time AL batting champion (2011–2013, 2015). He is a two-time AL home run leader and two-time RBI leader. He is a two-time MVP, an 11-time All-Star and yes, he has a World Series ring (2003). And the list goes on. No wonder that MLB memorabilia autographed by Miguel Cabrera is in such demand and holds its price and value over time. He has great signed color action photos that are certified, and official MLB equipment that he has autographed and has been authenticated. Miguel Cabrera is absolutely one of the best hitters in professional baseball and we are lucky to see such a pure player. For a guy with such power, he doesn’t strike out much and maintains a very high batting average unlike many power hitters. He has hit 30 or more home runs for 10 seasons, has over 100 RBIs in 12 seasons (including 11 consecutive seasons, 2004–14), and has a career .317 batting average through 2017. Wow! How many players can even stand next to Cabrera? Not many.

Here is a snapshot of a period when he was on fire: In 2012, Cabrera became the first player since 1967 to win the Triple Crown with a .330 BA, 44 home runs and 139 RBIs. He won the AL MVP award also, and the next year (2013) won his second AL MVP award with a BA of .348. Miguel Cabrera has some of the coolest and most valuable signed collectibles in all of sports. This guy is a collector’s dream, and who wouldn’t want a gift autographed by this future Hall of Famer?

In three years with the Chicago Cubs, Javier Baez has already lived up to his reputation in Major League Baseball. Prior to the 2013 season, MLB.com rated Báez as the 16th best prospect in baseball. The Cubs invited him to join their major league team in spring training, competing in the Cactus League. Báez hit four home runs in five at-bats over the course of two games. On August 5 of 2014, the Cubs promoted Báez to the major leagues. In his debut that day, he hit his first career home run, which was the game-winner in the 12th inning victory. He is the first player since 2003 to hit an extra innings home run in his debut. On October 2016, Báez was named NLCS CO-MVP alongside left-handed starter Jon Lester as the Chicago Cubs clinched their 2016 National League pennant. Then Baez got his World Series ring in 2016, and won the NLCS MVP.

In 2017, Baez finished the season with a .273 average, 23 home runs, 24 doubles, 75 RBIs, 75 runs, and 10 stolen bases. We are looking forward to acquiring more authentic and autographed MLB memorabilia from this slamming Cub 2nd baseman. Here is a nice factoid: He is the first player for the Cubs to steal home in a postseason game since Jimmy Slagle in 1907. Below are some fine examples of Javier Baez authenticated and autographed MLB collectibles including a beautiful ash bat. Take a look in our online vault for other Baez memorabilia and signed history by famous Cub’s players of old.

After banging home runs for the Cincinnati Reds and very briefly for the Cleveland Indians, Jay Bruce has a new home with the New York Mets. Jay Bruce just signed a three-year, $39 million contract with the Mets a week ago on January 16, 2018. Glad to have a home-run hitter. And this is the kind of clutch power hitting any team can use, but particularly the Mets: On September 28, Jay Bruce came to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning, and clocked the first-pitch for a walk-off home run to clinch the NL Central title for the Reds. That clutch – and I mean clutch – home run was the Capital One Premier Play of the Year. Wow. The Mets are already in line to have equipment they bought autographed by Jay Bruce and certified on site. And we will have it coming in, so check with us in 2018. This is a nice little feather in his cap – when Bruce was 24, he banged out his 100th career home run becoming the third youngest Reds’ player to reach 100 home runs behind Johnny Bench and Frank Robinson, who both accomplished that feat at age 23. Nice company to beat! Here are a few of our authenticated Jay Bruce collectibles signed and certified. Check out our vault for the rest of his collection and other Red;s stars of the past and present.

This hard-throwing pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds had a tough time getting into the major leagues, although not for a lack of talent. No, he had to defect from Cuba. After playing baseball in Cuba for the national baseball team and appearing in the 2013 World Baseball Classic, Iglesias made his first attempt to leave the island illegally. He was caught, but later that year he made it to Haiti where he established residency. He went to an an open tryout in Mexico in December 2013 and signed with the Cincinnati Reds on June 27, 2014, to a seven-year contract worth $27 million, and became a starting pitcher when he arrived in the United States. In spring training in 2015, the Reds evaluated Iglesias as a starting pitcher. He began in the Reds’ starting rotation, and made his major league debut on April 12. He had a couple of stints on the disabled list, limiting him to just 18 games, 16 of them starts. His record was 3–7 with 104 K’s. The following season, after beginning the season in the rotation, Iglesias was moved to the bullpen. Iglesias served as setup man and closer for the Reds, finishing with 6 saves in 37 games.

Now he is becoming a go-to closer with a wicked fastball and curve. We expect a lot of saves from Iglesias in the coming 2018 season. Take a look at these MLB collectibles signed by Raisel Iglesias and certified authentic. Then take a tour of our website and see the other items from legendary Red’s players we have in stock.

Now here is a special major opportunity for you to capitalize on Major League Baseball. This player – Evan Longoria aka “Longo”– is so beloved by fans in Florida, not to mention fans and memorabilia collectors worldwide, that I am sure his remaining autographed MLB collectibles from his time with the Tampa Bay Rays will be scooped up within nine months at the outside. Fortunately for fans, Longo loved signing autographs and we love collecting and having those special items authenticated and certified and making them available to you, often with free shipping. I rarely make A+ recommendations for a player, but in this case, I will put my reserved character aside and tell you – the fan or investor – to BUY, BUY, BUY! Buy Longo, for the “long run.” A fan’s dream and an investor’s wise choice, Evan Longoria will surely be racking up a ton more hits, homers, RBIs and Golden Glove awards as the San Francisco Giants pursue a title and the World Series in 2018 (Oh yeah – spring training is getting in swing soon) … If you look through the thousands of profiles I have written about baseball players, you will not see many A+ ratings. And as Don Corleone said to Virgil Sollozzo, “I’ll give you my reasons.”

You see, not only is “Longo” a great baseball player and a bona fide star in MLB, but he is that rare combination of a player who is respected by his peers, revered by pitchers, and loved by fans. Unquestionably, the man is one of the most popular third baseman of all time. And as “the face” of his former team, the (dumb-ass) Tampa Bay Rays who traded him in 2017, his signed and authenticated photographs fly out our door faster now than Nolan Ryan could throw a fastball. That’s because he is no longer a Ray, so the authentic signed colelctibles are finite. Let’s briefly review what Longoria did for the Tampa Bay Rays during his nine glorious years from 2008 through 2017. Stats: At Bats – 5,450 — 780 runs – 1,471 hits – and a career BA of .270 to date. He ws the AL Rookie of the Year in 2008, he is a three-time All-Star (2008, 2009, 2010), his is a three-time Gold Glove Award winner (2009, 2010, 2017), he won the Silver Slugger Award in 2009, and carried the Tampa Bay Rays on his hefty shoulders for almost a decade. Evan Longoria holds the Rays team records for most career home runs, most doubles, and most RBIs, in addition to other records that are equally impressive. Facts about Longo’s career thus far: In 2008, his rookie year, Longoria hit two home runs in his first two at-bats in the post-season – Tampa Bay’s first playoff appearance – to help the Rays beat the Chicago White Sox. Of note, Longo is the first rookie ever to hit a home run in his first two postseason at-bats.

Well, Longo is no longer in the east coast’s most sunny state; he’s in the west coast’s most sunny state. On December 20, 2017, the Rays traded Longoria and paid some cash to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for Christian Arroyo, Denard Span, Matt Krook, and Stephen Woods. Four guys for one plus cash. And the Rays got the bad end of that deal. Buy yourself and a friend a great gift – a couple of Longo’s authenticated and autographed items of MLB memorabilia from his “Days with the Rays.” Listed below are a few really cool collectibles so you can get an idea of what we have in our vault.

Nomar Mazara is a hard-hitting outfielder who is about to begin his third year with the Texas Rangers in 2018. This guy is popular with fans since his very first game, and no wonder why. In April of 2016, Nomar Mazara was brought up from the minors and played his first game as a Ranger, starting in right field. In his first at-bat, he hit a single, then another single his second time around, and followed those hits with his first major league home run in his third at-bat, which was the only run scored for the Rangers in the game. What a way to start a major league career! His signed MLB collectibles became a hot item after his hot 2017 season. We have authenticated memorabilia autographed by Nomar Mazara. Mazara throws and bats left-handed and causes trouble for right-handed pitchers with his powerful swing. As he comes into his own this coming season (2018) we expect to see a 40-home run season with more than 100 RBIs. Of note, in 2011 when Mazara signed with the Texas Rangers as an international free agent, he received a $5 million signing bonus which is a record for a non-American prospect. We think the Rangers made a great investment.

After pitching for the Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals, this two-time All-Star pitcher, World Series champion and Cy Young Award runner-up has been mowing down batters for the San Francisco Giants since 2016. His autographed MLB memorabilia is always in demand and we have some great items for you from photos to equipment.
He started with the Reds in 2008, and for his first two years ran hot and cold. But when he was hot, he was really hot, striking out 158 batters in only 174 innings in 2008, and in 2009 he led the National League in ERA for the first half of the season but was hampered by injury in the second half, ending up 11-11.
In 2010, Cueto got more consistent and had a 12–7 record and a 3.64 ERA in 31 starts. He pitched 185 innings and struck out 138, also only allowing 56 walks and 181 hits. Following the 2010 season, the Reds and Cueto agreed to a four-year, $27 million contract.
2011 was a breakout year for Cuerto, leading the majors with an ERA of .172 for much of the season, but after an injury in August, he ended up with a decent 9-5 record and a 2.31 ERA in 156 innings, which was just six innings short of qualifying for the ERA title. In 2012-13, he again was plagued by back injuries. In 2014, he was selected as an All-Star and runner up for the Cy Young award.
He has done very well through the 2017 season and we expect a great 2018 from Johnny Cueto as long as he stays healthy.
Take a look at these really nice items of authenticated MLB equipment and photographs signed by Johnny Cueto. Then peruse our vault full of many special signed collectibles by Johnny Cueto and many Reds stars past and present.

This 2016 All-Star left-fielder who also plays first base for the Cincinnati Reds is a sought-after autograph and we have some of his authenticated signed MLB memorabilia in our vaults.
In 2014, Duvall was called up from the minors to the San Francisco Giants and played 28 games at first base. The Giants won the World Series that year although Duvall saw no playing time. In 2015, he was traded to the Reds and played in 27 games, had .219 batting average with five home runs and nine RBIs.
In 2016, Duvall was included on the Reds’ opening day roster. By June, he led the NL in slugging percentage and was tied for first in MLB in home runs. He was selected to the 2016 All-Star Game as a reserve. He also participated in the 2016 MLB Home Run Derby and made the semifinals. In his first full season in the majors, Duvall played in 150 games and posted a .241 batting average, 33 home runs, and 103 RBI.
The Reds and his fans expect a great season from Adam Duvall in 2018, and we will be collecting his most exciting autographed MLB collectibles and making them available to you.

Brett Gardner is a terrific outfielder and athlete with great speed on the bases, often leading the league or near the top in stolen bases. He is a great hitter, making contact with the ball on 93 percent of his swings. He has a solid fan base who seek out his autographed MLB memorabilia, and his certified signature on many nice items of his history with the Yankees.
Brett Gardner made his MLB debut with the Yankees in 2008 and was a part of the Yankees’ World Series championship team in 2009. He was an All-Star in 2015, won the Golden Glove in 2016 (and is often close in the annual voting), has led the league in triples by stretching doubles with his fantastic speed, and steals, steals and steals more bases, giving himself opportunities to score runs.
Gardner has been plagued by injuries in his career, but when he is healthy he hits at the top of the order and his disciplined approach at the plate often gets him on base with a walk. After another arm surgery in 2015, he came back in 2016 with 143 hits, 80 runs and a BA of .261, and in 2017 he banged out 157 hits, 96 runs and carried a BA of .264
Also in 2017, Gardner slammed his 1,000th career hit. He hit for a career-high 21 home runs, had 23 steals and a .264 average, helping the Yankees into the playoffs, where they ended up missing the World Series.

After a couple of years each with the Reds and then the Diamondbacks, Gregorius has found his home in pinstripes playing for the storied New York Yankees where he had almost identical offensive numbers in both of his two full years there. In 2016, he had 153 hits and a BA of .287, and in 2017 he had 155 hits and a BA of .276. Not only are the Yankees happy but the fans love him too, snapping up MLB memorabilia that is autographed by Didi Gregorius and certified authentic.
He was traded to the Yankees in 2015 and played shortstop, filling the big hole left by the huge shoes of Derek Jeter. In his first year with the Yankees, Gregorius was named a finalist for the American League Rawlings Gold Glove Award at shortstop, ending up second in voting. He played in 155 games in 2015, hit nine home runs with 56 RBIs and a .265 BA.
Gregorius had career highs in hits (155), doubles (32), home runs (20), and RBIs (70).
In 2017 Gregorius was hampered by injuries in the spring but recovered and slammed his 500th hit and his 50th home run of his career, leading to a final vote for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. He also set the all-time record for most home runs in a season by a Yankee shortstop. Despite missing the first month and playing only 136 games, Gregorius had career highs in batting average .287, home runs 25, and RBIs with 87.
Of post-season note, in the 2017 AL Wild Card Game, Gregorius hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the first that tied the game. In the 2017 AL Division Series, he hit two home runs off of Corey Kluber in the series-deciding Game 5. The Yankees and his fervent fans are looking forward to a great 2018 as Gregorius comes fully into his own and plays the power shortstop.

Rafael Devers will be all of 22 years old when he starts at third base in 2018 for the storied Boston Red Sox. This ball-smashing and glove-burning professional baseball player will certainly see his stock rise in what is set to be a breakout season. Already, we are having a hard time keeping his autographed MLB equipment and photographs in stock, and by the 2018 All-Star break, my educated guess is that his signed collectibles will be some of the hottest baseball items on the market.
Devers hits left-handed, which is big trouble for American League pitchers, some of whom have already learned what a baseball looks like – or doesn’t look like – traveling at 100 miles per hour back the other way. It’s hard to track a little white ball moving that fast, although Devers seems to have no problem with it. Even the legendary “Big Papi” – David Ortiz – has said that Devers reminds him of himself at that age, only more advanced.
In 2017 he was brought up to the Red Sox from their farm teams, where he had been since he was 17 years old. That made Rafael Devers the youngest MLB player, and he quickly showed the fans that the Red Sox made a good move. He played 58 games in 2017 and whacked 63 hits, 10 homers and 30 ribbies, ending with a .284 average.
Devers also showed he was no rookie when he had his opportunities in the playoffs. In the American League Divisional Series against the Houston Astros he clocked a homer in the third game giving the Red Sox their first lead in the series. Devers became only the sixth player in Major League Baseball history to hit a home run in the playoffs before his 21st birthday, joining Hall-of-Famer Mickey Mantle, Andruw Jones, Miguel Cabrera, Manny Machado, and Bryce Harper.
Snag these excellent MLB collectibles signed by Rafael Devers and certified authentic by JSA before he clocks 50 homers and 100 RBIs in 2018 and his autographed memorabilia becomes even more valuable.

Lance McCullers Jr. did something in 2017 that his father never did – pitch in a Major League Baseball World Series game. His father pitched for eight years in the major leagues, playing for four teams. His son came right behind him, and then went right past him.
After being drafted by the Houston Astros in the 2012 draft, Lance McCullers Jr. pitched his way around the minor leagues until the Astros brought him up in 2015. Two short years later, he was voted to the All-Star team and pitched in two games of the 2017 World Series including game 7, which the Astros won to clinch the World Series. Wow.
Lance McCullers Jr. has a bevy of autographed MLB memorabilia that is rated A+ on the collectors’ scale. His signed and certified equipment and photos from his short but illustrious career is locked away in our air-tight vault, and is available for you to purchase before his marquee name gets even more attention, which it will.
When the Astros placed Lance McCullers Jr. into the pitching rotation at the start of the 2017 season, he delivered strikes – lots of them. From May 6−23, he tossed 22 scoreless innings in four starts, which earned him the AL Pitcher of the Month Award. He was credited with a 4−0 record over six starts with an AL-leading 0.99 ERA and 37 strikeouts.
On October 21, 2017, McCullers pitched four scoreless innings in relief and earned his first career save in a 4–0 win over the New York Yankees in Game 7 of the ALCS. This sent the Astros to their first World Series since 2005, which they won.

After 12 attempts to escape Cuba and get to either Mexico or the United States so he could play professional baseball, Yasiel Puig finally made it to the U.S., where an agent got him a deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers worth $42 million over seven years, starting as a rookie. And as a rookie, the super-talented powerhouse named Yasiel Puig paid off big-time for the Dodgers. His autographed MLB memorabilia – including beautiful color action photos and game equipment is some of the hottest MLB collectibles out there today. He is a huge hero in Cuba and other Hispanic countries who snap up any collectibles signed by Yasiel Puig and certified by experts, which is what we carry.
Yasiel Puig, aka “The Wild Horse,” made his MLB debut on June 3, 2013. In 2013, hitting .319 in 104 games with 19 home runs and 42 RBIs, and was selected by Baseball America to their annual “All-Rookie team.” In the month of June, Puig had 44 hits, which broke the long-standing record set by Steve Sax in 1983 as the team record for most hits by a rookie in one month.
In 2014, he continued to improve, assaulting pitchers with powerful shots that often garnered extra-base hits due to his speed. In May, he hit in eight consecutive games with at least one extra-base hit and RBI, a record for the Dodgers snagged from Duke Snider in 1954. He also slammed May Dodger records hitting .398 with eight home runs and 25 RBI. He started the 2014 All-Star Game, the youngest Dodger starter for an All-Star game since Steve Sax in 1982.
The next two years were slowedd down by injuries but he returned to form in 2017, hitting .263 with 28 home runs, 74 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. He was selected for the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Award, and did well in the post-season, hitting .455 in the 2017 NLDS and .389 with a home run in the 2017 NLCS, but he and his teammates fell short in the 2017 World Series which the Dodgers lost to the Houston Astros in seven wonderful games.

Lance Lynn was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 2008 MLB Draft and the big right-throwing pitcher has done a great job with the Cardinals including playoff and World Series performances.
