The Tampa Bay Lightning are having a record-setting year in the 2017-18 season, and a big part of that success is the incredible play of All-Star goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, who already has five shutouts and the season is only at the half-way mark. His popularity among Lightning fans is growing every day, and his autographed NHL memorabilia is highly prized.
Drafted by the Lightning in 2014 and was assigned to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL), the top minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played so well so quickly that he was called up in December to the Lightning. He started that night in his NHL debut, a 3–1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.
He nailed his first of many shutouts on 3 March 2015, over the Buffalo Sabres in a 28-save performance. Vasilevskiy’s first playoff win came in 2015 when he replaced goalie Ben Bishop twice during the third period of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. He became the first goalie in 24 years to win a playoff Final game in relief.
On July 1, 2016, the Lightning announced the re-signing of Vasilevskiy to a three-year contract extension. Vasilevskiy appeared in 24 games with the team last season, posting a record of 11–10–0 to go along with a 2.76 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. He had one shutout in his second season with the team. He also played in eight Stanley Cup playoff games in 2016, recording a record of 3–4 to go along with a 2.76 goals-against average and .925 save percentage. In December of 2016, Vasilevskiy recorded his first career NHL point on an overtime goal scored by Tyler Johnson, which came in a 4–3 victory over the visiting Montreal Canadiens.
On October 26, 2017, Vasilevskiy played in his 100th career NHL game. In that game Vasilevskiy recorded his 8th consecutive win of the season. This win tied Vasilevskiy with Nikolai Khabibulin for most consecutive wins by a Lightning goaltender. On October 30, 2017, Vasilevskiy recorded his 9th consecutive win, which moved him past Khabibulin for most consecutive wins by a Lightning goalie.
Next, Vasilevskiy popped a 3-0 shutout against the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center. The win was Vasilevskiy’s 20th of the season over 25-games, which was the 5th fastest in NHL history. This also made Vasilevskiy only the 6th goalie in NHL history to record 20 wins in 25 games played. This goalie will surely be an integral piece of the puzzle when the Lightning take the Stanley Cup in 2018.

Talk about a guy who can score goals, Alex Ovechkin’s contribution to not only the Washington Capitals, where he plays at left wing and is the team captain, but to the NHL at large, where he is considered one of the best players in the league, is sure to place him in the Hall of Fame.

He led the league in points, winning the Art Ross Trophy, and also won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league’s most valuable player and Lester B. Pearson Award as the best player as voted on by the NHL Players’ Association.
Alex Ovechkin would again win the Hart Trophy and Pearson Award in 2009, along with the Richard Trophy, and won the Ted Lindsay Award (the renamed Pearson Award) for a third consecutive year in 2010; it also marked the fifth straight year that he was named to the First All-Star Team. After a couple years of decreased scoring, Ovechkin again led the league in goals, earning the Richard Trophy, in 2013, and again winning the Hart Trophy. He would repeat as the Richard Trophy winner from 2014 to 2016, scoring at least 50 goals each season, becoming the first player to win the award six times, and the third to lead the NHL in goals that many times, as well as the third player to score 50 goals in a season seven times. He marked 500 career NHL goals in the 2015–16 season and also led the league in goals for four straight seasons from 2012–13 to 2015–16; as such, Ovechkin is considered by many to be one of the greatest goal scorers in the history of the NHL. In 2017 Ovechkin was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players of all-time.

Auston Matthews is left-shooting center who plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL. A big boy at 6’3” and 220 pounds, Matthews set such a blazing start in the NHL that his Jersey became the best-selling piece of Maple Leafs gear in his rookie year. We have authenticated Jerseys signed by Auston Matthews, and certified official NHL equipment (see end of article). After a great Junior hockey career, Matthews was the top prospect of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, and was taken first overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Now, this single statistic would be good enough to make anyone’s career – in the first game he ever played in the NHL, Matthews became the first player in modern NHL history to score four goals in his NHL debut (the last time a player did that was in 1917). Matthews nailed 40 goals in his first season becoming the fourth teenager in league history to do so. In the midst of his rookie season, Matthews was ranked the second best active American player in the NHL, and at season’s end, he was awarded the 2017 Calder Memorial Trophy as the top NHL rookie.
Two months later in the NHL Centennial Classic, Matthews scored the game-winning goal in overtime, securing a 5–4 victory for the Maple Leafs. On March 28, 2017, Matthews scored his 35th goal of the season, setting the record for most goals in a season by a Leafs’ rookie. He then scored his 39th goal and 67th point, breaking the franchise record for most points in a season as well as the record for most goals by an American born rookie.
Matthews helped the Maple Leafs make the playoffs for the first time since 2004. After going pointless in the first two games of the series, Matthews scored in each of the last four games as the team was eliminated in six contests by the Capitals. In recognition for his historic accomplishments throughout the year, Matthews was awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy, as the league’s top rookie.

Brian Leetch is a left-shooting NHL legend who scored many goals, made many assists, and wasn’t even a center or a right wing. He was a defenseman – and a superb defenseman who played for 18 years in the NHL. His autographed NHL memorabilia is highly prized and maintains a healthy reputation amongst hockey aficionados. He is regarded by many NHL players and fans to be one of the top defensemen in NHL history, and his election to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, and to the Toronto Hall of Fame were a nod to his greatness.
Leetch was drafted 9th overall in the 1986 open draft by the New York Rangers. He quickly became known for his assists, his skill at skating ‘circles around his competition,’ and for his outstanding and simply killer offensive play. In his first full year with the Rangers, he won the Calder Trophy for NHL Rookie of the Year in 1989. The 23 goals that Leetch dropped in the net that season is still the record for rookie defensemen.
In his brilliant career, Leetch garnered numerous awards including the esteemed Norris Trophy, which he won twice as the best defenseman in the NHL. He also won the Conn Smythe Trophy, which is awarded as playoff MVP for his performance in the 1994 Stanley Cup championship. Here’s a stat for you – Brian Leetch is one of only five NHL defensemen to score 100 points in a season with his 102-point campaign in 1991–92.
Even as the great Wayne Gretzky was setting the NHL ice ablaze in the 1980s, many professional hockey observers and critics maintained that Bryan Trottier was “the greatest player in the NHL.” That is huge praise, easily as huge as some of Bryan Trottiers’ autographed NHL photos, certified trading cards, equipment, and other signed and authenticated memorabilia.
Bryan “Trots” Trottier was drafted by the New York Islanders in 1974 and quickly set an NHL rookie record of 95 points and won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s rookie of the year. Trottier played 15 great years with that team, nailing down FOUR – count em’ – FOUR consecutive Stanley Cup Trophies with the Islanders from 1980-83. With the Islander’s first Stanley Cup in 1980 Trottier won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. Also notable, from 1980-84, his team won 19 consecutive playoff games, a record not likely to be broken. Trottier’s best season was 1978–79 when he scored 134 points, earning him the Art Ross Trophy as the League’s top scorer, as well as the Hart Memorial Trophy as NHL MVP.
An all-around hockey player, Bryan Trottier was a genius on offense, a brilliant defenseman and one tough son-of-a-gun. While helping the Islanders dominate the NHL in the early 1980s, Trottier was the main man of “The Trio Grande,” the line that included teammates Clark Gillies and Mike Bossy.
After being released by the Islanders at the end of the 1990 season (the Islanders management thought his best years were behind him), he promptly won the Stanley Cup Trophy with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1991 and 1992. So much for the Islanders’ management. Bryan Trottier was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997, his first year of eligibility. A legendary player and bona fide hockey star, Trottier went into coaching and won another Stanley Cup (7th) with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001.
Take a look at these signed and certified Bryan Trottier gems below and then continue on to our full collection of autographed memorabilia.
Cam Fowler, the left-shooting, goal-popping defenseman for the Anaheim Ducks, is a star on the rise, as are his signed and certified hockey collectibles. Early on, Fowler was a gold-medal winner at the Olympics and an immediate top draw in the OHL where he scored one point per game his entire first season.
He entered the NHL in 2010 with the Ducks where his speed-skating and finesse play-making caused him to be selected to play in the 2011 NHL All-Star Game as part of the rookie team.
A powerful shooter, Fowler’s best weapon is his speed and agility on offense. In the current 2017-18 campaign, Fowler missed 12 games due to an injured knee and promptly returned to form on Dec. 3, scoring a goal and adding an assist in a 3-2 loss.
Professional hockey observers expect more great things from this young defenseman as this season progresses, as obviously so do the Ducks, who signed an 8-year extension, $52 million contract with Fowler in 2017.
Check out the Cam Fowler autographed hockey collectibles below. If you want a particular item signed by Cam Fowler, call us and let us know.
Brandon Dubinsky is a fast-skating big center, standing at 6′ 2” and 210 pounds and blowing away most defensemen that get in his way. Originally, Brandon Dubinsky was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and played for them from 2006 to 2012.
Dubinsky played in the AHL for most of the 2006–07 season and was called up by the Rangers in March of 2007. He skated for most of that year as center of the Rangers’ first forward line, and was the MVP of the 2008 Young Stars competition where he scored two goals and one assist. That same year in May, he scored a hat trick in his first World Championship game against Norway. Team USA won the game 9–1.
On November 24, 2008, Dubinsky scored a Gordie Howe hat trick against the Phoenix Coyotes. On April 15, 2009, Dubinsky scored the game-winning goal of the Rangers’ first game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

On July 23, 2012, Dubinsky was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and after two good seasons, he signed a 6-year, $35.1 million contract extension with the Blue Jackets.

Bowie “Bo” Horvat is an outstanding center who shoots left-handed and is a main cog in the wheel of the Vancouver Canucks. He was selected 9th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and has been a much sought-after autograph ever since, with his signed and certified equipment and photos selling like hotcakes.
In the beginning, it began. During his junior career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), he won the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award as playoff MVP in 2013, as well as two J. Ross Robertson Cup titles with the London Knights. His status as a respected scorer jumped up as soon as he started with the Canucks, and his autographed memorabilia is well-respected and snatched up by fans who know that this young player is going to make a name for himself in the NHL.
During the first half of the 2015–16 season, Horvat juggled heightened goal-scoring expectations along with increased defensive responsibility after injuries to Brandon Sutter and Henrik Sedin. He went on a 6-game point streak between January 4 and 15, during which he scored six goals and nine points. When that streak ended on January 17, it was tied for the longest active point streak in the NHL. Horvat ended his sophomore season with 16 goals and 40 points.
In 2017 Horvat played in the 2017 NHL All-Star Game after having tallied 13 goals and 16 assists up to that point in the season. On March 3, 2017, Horvat was named as one of Vancouver’s second alternate captains replacing longtime Canuck Alexandre Burrows. Horvat ended the 2016–2017 season with 20 goals, 32 assists, and 52 points; setting career highs in all three categories.
On September 8, 2017, the Canucks re-signed Horvat to a six-year, $33 million contract extension worth $5.5 million annually.

Justin Abdelkader plays left wing (and right wing) for the Detroit Red Wings and has risen to the position of alternate Captain. Standing at 6’2” and carrying 214 pounds, Justin is the quintessential front man, sporting a left-handed slap-shot that equals any in the league. Our signed NHL memorabilia by Justin Abdelkader is not only an investment in the Red Wings future but a great piece of history from the team that has been representing Detroit since 1934, and Justin Abdelkader is a big part of that future.
Prior to being drafted by the Red Wings in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Justin Abdelkader played in the 2007 NCAA Championship Game against Boston College, shot the winning goal, and won the NCAA Division 1 National Championship for Michigan State University. He was elected the famed Frozen Four Most Outstanding Player. That goal was the latest game-winning regulation goal ever scored in an NCAA Frozen Four championship, catching the net with only 18 seconds remaining.
Abdelkader went into the Red Wings farm system from basically 2005-2009, when he scored his first career NHL goal in Game 1 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins on May 30, 2009. As history goes, after shooting the puck, Abdelkader grabbed the rebound out of the air with his glove, dropped the puck, and beat Marc-André Fleury high stick side. His second goal came nearly 24 hours later in the second game of the series, off of what commentators described as a “knuckle puck.” He carried the puck into the forward zone alone against three Penguins defenders and fired a slapshot past Fleury. He became the first rookie to score a goal in consecutive finals games since Minnesota’s Dino Ciccarelli did it in 1981.
Abdelkader played 50 games in 2009-10 scoring three goals, while adding three assists. Abdelkader was then re-signed by the Red Wings on a two-year extension worth $1.575 million. The 2010–11 season was Abdelkader’s first full NHL season as a Red Wing. Abdelkader played in 74 games, scoring seven goals, and adding 12 assists. During the 2011–12 season, he missed only one game, and finished the season with eight goals and 14 assists in 81 games. On September 14, 2012, Abdelkader signed a four-year, $7.2 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings.
On October 9, 2015, Abdelkader became the second player in Red Wings history to score a hat trick in a season opening home game, following Adam Brown in 1945. Abdelkader was named the First Star of the Week for the week ending October 12, 2015. He shared the league lead with four goals and tied for second in the NHL with five points. On November 12, 2015, the Red Wings signed Abdelkader to a seven-year, $29.75 million contract extension.
