The AL wild card race continues the be a daily fight between as Oakland continues to hold the lead for the second spot. Seattle is only 5.5 games behind the Athletics and a new team is coming in fast. A team that no one was ready for, the Tampa Bay Rays are the hottest team in the MLB. The Rays are only 7 out of the wild card and are making a big push. If they Rays make the playoffs, they could be the 3rd AL East team in the playoffs this year. The NL playoff race is just as exciting as the AL. There are 5 teams within 3.5 games of each other all fighting for the 2 wild card spots.
